Once upon a time, There was this furry yellow Dog seen at Juying Secondary School.
The minute the owl saw this dog, it realised that it has fallen
in love with this dog... then ... the long and tedious stuggle begins in wooing this furry dog!

You ask me if i love you,
and I ask myself how to begin
to share with you
the feelings in my heart.
You inspire in me
a love so deep
words cannot describe it
so powerful that it
overwhelms my every thought
You ask me if i love you,
and i wish there were a way
you could just see into my soul
and feel the depth of passion
tenderness, and love
that holds you closer
to my heart
than anyone or anything else.

You ask me if i love you,
and i look into
the magic of your eyes
and promise,
"Yes, I love you...
I always will."

A rewarding experience indeed

I guess this must be my 5th or 6th time visiting Bangkok(the heart of Thailand). Many of us, Singaporeans are usually quite glad to visit Bangkok. Although from time to time, there are some protests going on here and there but the overall shopping experience is wonderful.

However, this trip to Bangkok was a totally different experience, besides the non-stop shopping (till you can't shop anymore). When we were there enjoying their unique food and experience, at the same time, the anti-government supporters aka. PAD supporters where demonstrating a peaceful protest down at the old Bangkok Airport.

We thought that would not be an issue to us or any Singaporeans.. but I guess I was wrong... On the last day of our trip, when we are supposed to head back home. We got a bad news.. The PAD supporters have decided to demostrate their "peaceful" protest againest the government AT THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INSTEAD!!!!

At that time, I really did not know what to expect... Continue shopping more and relax or find a way out of Bangkok.. ?! Well, for sure we knew that on the 26th of Nov 08. We would have to extend our hotel (Grand Diamond Hotel) for another day. Which simply means ANOTHER DAY OF SHOPPING!!

However, that would also mean that we have to find a way out of Bangkok to avoid clashes with the PAD supporters and the Thailand army if they were to implement a curfew on Thailand.. If that happens, we are in real deep shit...!

We tried contacting various tour agencies sited in Bangkok to see if they are able to arrange for a transport for us to get out of Bangkok the following day. A couple of them offer us transport us to Phuket and from Phuket, we would have to take a flight back to Singapore. However, we felt that it might not be an ideal solution as we have no idea whether is it safe to travel all the way to Phuket and later find out that there are also clashes at the airport over there.

At the same time, I am glad that a couple of my friends did call/message to offer me some form of assistance. Well, in times of trouble, you would be able to see who are actually your true friends and not friends that need your help then will look for you. Well I guess fair-weathered friends can't be helped. Just glad that I am aware of them. Anyway, I really appreciate you guys calling :) thanks alot.

On the 27th of Nov 08, The PAD supporters still insist on occupying the Thailand International Airport until the current prime minister Somchai steps down. Well, the Thailand army general did advise Somchai to have another re-election. However, Somchai claimes that his government is clean. One thing for sure is that we have to charter our own way back to Singapore somehow. Luckily, the tour agency which helped us to book our hotel offer us a coach ride back to Singapore which takes 33 hours. Well, I guess this can't be helped since by air is no longer an option.

Well, I am simply glad to be back safely in Singapore with my doggie's family. It was indeed an unforgettable experience which I never thought I would encounter when I'm overseas.

Last but not least, I would like to offer my deepest condolences to my beloved girlfriend, Klang and her family as her grandfather has unfortunately passed away on the 26th of Nov 08, when we were stranded in Bangkok.

One advice for all my friends out there,

Keep your true friends close to you and be very clear of who are your fair-weathered friends
