Hmmm...it has been a long time since i blogged ~ so sorry for neglecting this blog of ours ;) Owl have been quite been with school work :) hope you understands it :) Anyway I am really happy that you put so much effort in this blog of ours :) I promise once I'm done with those stupid books of mine, I will spent more time updating the re-organizing the entire blog wor :)

Thanks for the suprise trip that you specially arranged for me dear :) I love the way you initiate things and still managed to keep me in the dark for quite a while ~ Lets look forward for May to arrive quickly so we can go overseas with all our sec. sch frenz again :) This time will even be more exciting than our previous Hong Kong trip with them :) 

Well once I'm done with my uni exams, i will be able to relax and enjoy more time off with u le :) Hope you understand wor dear :)

Silly's 23rd Bday + our 67mths @ Batam

For silly's bday.. it was a surprise trip i planned for him/us to Batam! Many reasons why, like how he needs a short break, about choosing a meaningful present for him, how singapore sucks for a getaway.. so i chose Batam in e end since we both nv been anyways. Took an hour ferry ride again but this time from Harbourfront-Singapore Cruise Centre on the morning of 21st March 2009 :) Ohoh, and it was our 67mth being together too, so it calls for double the joy :)

Arrival at Batam Centre.. their townlooks similar to ours.. kinda modern & not anything like the sleazy place that has always been in my mindset.. haha

Lunch @ Batam Centre b4 taking ferry back to SG.. we had Ayam Penyet again, cos we saw e same RIA Restaurant but with more varieties on e menu.. Apparently there are many RIA outlest so dont know which is the original.. Tried their Avocado Juice (it comes with chocolate) that tastes quite similar to sugarcane...supposedly a popular drink with e locals too!

we ordered prawns this time to try plus soto ayam soup!

Yummy meal that costs only $5 plus...!

One thing we both agreed when we were back.. the things there are waaaaayyy cheaper than back here. Argh we will miss eating & spending like a king at those incredulous prices.. $1.50 beer anyone?? We will be back sometime soon :)

5.5yrs Celebration @ Bintan (22 Feb 2009)

Sunday morning... woke up super early just to travel to Tanah Merry Ferry Terminal.. wat a distance from Boon Lay.. but but.. its all worth it for wats coming up!!

It only takes an hour to get to Bintan.. we cant wait!! luckily e ride was smooth sailing.. no motion sickness :) so we spent our time taking pics & resting~

Entrance of Nirwana Resort Hotel... huge lobby area.. we thought it was e nicest among e other Nirwana resorts.. except for e beautiful villas at one of their high-class resorts.. 

We decided to stroll along e beach 1st since we could nt check-in yet!! Hmmm was surprised for e sunny weather bcos we realized that it was supposedly e moonsoon season w occasional showers.. but lucky e weather was super gd for both days :) thankfully!

Unexpected find at e end of e beach... this whole area was filled with crab holess!! Many tiny crabs running across the sand.. from hole to hole, or running into holes hiding from us... and frantically building more homes to avoid e high tides approaching! These smart things are super agile & able to protect n hide themselves super well!!

After countless attempts at jumping.. AHEM someone still could nt take a shot of me in e air!!So in e end, we (or rather i) gave up trying!! Guess wat, i perfected his shot in like ONE time :)

For dinner.. we went to Spices Restaurant @ Mayang Sari Resort... so we got e chance to take e resort's shuttle bus there! haha it feels like we were in e Night Safari, sitting on e tram thingy.. cos it gets dark early n its nt advisable to walk there..! Breezy breeeezyyy~~

Home sweet home on the ferry.... tired not!!

Hmmm gg to Bintan is best for a short getaway.. getting all our senses recharged to wats lying ahead in Singapore (boohoo).. it nv feels gd to leave e destination when travelling... BUT we will be back next time.... 

Hello BANYAN TREE BINTAN... hope to stay there SOON or at any other of their resorts :)
