Once upon a time, There was this furry yellow Dog seen at Juying Secondary School.
The minute the owl saw this dog, it realised that it has fallen
in love with this dog... then ... the long and tedious stuggle begins in wooing this furry dog!
Next esp will be on 20/08/2010!

Take a Gamble or Miss a Turn

After much consideration, I still decided to post a new topic on what I felt about gambling after multiple lucky wins in the casino. Many new and interesting things that you do get to learn and capture in books and more books and even online learning but one thing that can't be easily learn for sure.. the human relationship between one another especially during gambling. Books tend to teach all sorts of tricks and even give invaluble tips on how to win or "beat" the dealer's cards. But as we all know there is no such things as 100% win win chance so no matter how much we read up on each individual game, the most that we can absorb are the rules of the individual games.

The next valuble lesson you can definitely learn is by taking a chance and place a bet. Take a close look at how individual players react to their cards luck. You will realise that most of them are mindlessly hoping and praying that they will win the dealer's cards. Once individual players won the dealer's card, they will be hoping that the very next round, they will win again, again, again and again....

These kinda of mentality can easily last for 4 to 5 hours straight once the players starts playing. Hmmm, I would not want to stereotype all types of players under this category and of course there are other types of players who are able to come back to reality even when they on a lucky strik. The above game play simply involves 1 single card game for every individual player as well as the dealer and of course each individual player would be considered a winner once their single card is greater than the dealer's card. Hmmm at this point of time, every player who places a bet at this card would be delighted as they have won! and the next thing is pray for the next card to be even larger and "nicer".

Well for the losers, they will escape from their mindless space and start to think.."Why did I lost this round ?" A couple of reasons these players tend to rationalise...

1. Hmmm, must be other new players place their "un-lucky" bets on my bets.
2. Dealer's luck is changing for the better liao! cham liao haiz!
3. Aiya!!! Must be someone pressing on my seat la! or else why would I lost right!?
4. Aiyo!!! Someone must have touch my shoulders la! bad luck de leh !!! Cannot anyhow touch other people's shoulders de ma!
5. I should have wore a red shirt... pants.... jeans.... etc...
6. Aiya, gambling is like that de la, sometimes win sometimes lose no 100% win de ma hor!?
(Most realistic and ideal thinking!)

The above game play that I mentioned is simply called casino war and its the simpliest of all, compared to other games such as Poker, Texas hold em all, Pontoon, Black Jack, Mini Bac, etc

What I like to bring across to all my buddies out there are the following below..

* Don't be a sore loser and blame other people for your losses because gambling is just like taking a risk in life,  everything is 50-50 chance.

* Don't ever be greedy and place more bets when you are winning because the next round of game play is simply another 50-50 chance also.

* Decide on the maximum amount of money you are going to spent in the casino and if you lost that amount of wealth, stop game immediately.

* Most importantly, don't involve your buddies to gamble along if they are not interested cause you might cause harm to them rather then enjoyment.

* Of course the last but not least, enjoy the game with a mind and soul !!!

Has Singapore lost its peace and tranquility to Motor Vehicles ?

I have been intending to post a new post on this particular issue that I have been particularly annoyed with. Perhaps I am a bit more over the edge but I believe that there are definitely people out there who have the same perception or somewhat close to what I think or believe in.

I have become increasingly annoyed by the random occasions of sports bikes and fake "sports" cars ramming their engines through quiet and peaceful nights. These people or should I say "speed freaks" or perhaps "spastic show-off" greeks, does not take into consideration that its freaking in the wee hours of the night and families and babies are sleeping. These annoying pests will purposely rammed their engines along the streets of Singapore especially if there HDB flats around ensuring that everyone who is not asleep, knows that there is someone out there who owns a "good" bike  as well as waking the rest who are deep in slumber!

Well, I may be too picky or too particular about noise pollution and environmental pollution that have been ever increasing in Singapore as well as in other parts of the world but I feel that all those "bird-brain" motorists out there in any part of Singapore. Before you decided to ram your engines through the streets of Singapore, please make sure you guys use at least 1% of ur bird brain and think whether would that cause a disturbance to others.

Perhaps, these motorists can count themselves lucky as firearms and compressed air rifles are prohibited in Singapore. if the above mentioned are a contradiction, I strongly believe alot of these "bird-brain" motorist's vehicles can be send for scrapping already. Sometimes, I can imagine how would that "bird-brain" motorcyclist fly forward if I were to land an artic round in his tires when he purposely rammed his engine along the whole street. I believe his insurance would not be sufficient to cover his medical expenses and his bike damage. Hmmm alright, now I sound like a serial motor vehicle killer now. -.-" Sometimes I wonder what would happen to the cars with those huge altered exhaust pipe meant to purely create noise pollution, if a huge ball of paper with nitrogen fluid were to accidentally stuck in their exhaust pipes when they start their engine... will their fake "sports" car go.... ka-BOOM!? haha well thats just a wilful imagination of mine which will never happen!
