5.5yrs Celebration @ Bintan (22 Feb 2009)

Sunday morning... woke up super early just to travel to Tanah Merry Ferry Terminal.. wat a distance from Boon Lay.. but but.. its all worth it for wats coming up!!

Leaving Singapore..byebye small sunny island!!

It only takes an hour to get to Bintan.. we cant wait!! luckily e ride was smooth sailing.. no motion sickness :) so we spent our time taking pics & resting~

Welcome to Bintan :) woot!!

Entrance of Nirwana Resort Hotel... huge lobby area.. we thought it was e nicest among e other Nirwana resorts.. except for e beautiful villas at one of their high-class resorts.. 

We decided to stroll along e beach 1st since we could nt check-in yet!! Hmmm was surprised for e sunny weather bcos we realized that it was supposedly e moonsoon season w occasional showers.. but lucky e weather was super gd for both days :) thankfully!

Unexpected find at e end of e beach... this whole area was filled with crab holess!! Many tiny crabs running across the sand.. from hole to hole, or running into holes hiding from us... and frantically building more homes to avoid e high tides approaching! These smart things are super agile & able to protect n hide themselves super well!!

After countless attempts at jumping.. AHEM someone still could nt take a shot of me in e air!!So in e end, we (or rather i) gave up trying!! Guess wat, i perfected his shot in like ONE time :)

For dinner.. we went to Spices Restaurant @ Mayang Sari Resort... so we got e chance to take e resort's shuttle bus there! haha it feels like we were in e Night Safari, sitting on e tram thingy.. cos it gets dark early n its nt advisable to walk there..! Breezy breeeezyyy~~

Home sweet home on the ferry.... tired not!!

Hmmm gg to Bintan is best for a short getaway.. getting all our senses recharged to wats lying ahead in Singapore (boohoo).. it nv feels gd to leave e destination when travelling... BUT we will be back next time....

Homemade Goodness @ Vday 2009

Its a belated post for Feb14 2009-St Valentines Day: The day where lovey-dovey couples fill the streets, super markup-ed flowers are sold, restaurants with snaking queues and inflexible menus.. blah blah..

So we decided- nice homecooked dinner @ home to avoid the following mentioned above :) Saturday afternoon was spent shopping for our ingredients, rested shortly then started preparations!

Though there were no gifts exchanged this year, this meal was enough to warm our hearts... cos its e process that matters right? First time we cooked together and boy... it turned out great, no regrets :) hope everyone had a happy time too!

Pre- Anniversary

Today we booked our one-day short getaway to Bintan!! Its meant for our upcoming anniversary celebration :) Looking forward to sun sand sea on Sunday :):) school is tough for dear so it will be a good time to relax, for me it'll be just being able to get out of Singapore.. stifling sometimes and who can resist a vacation no matter where or how short? heh enough said.
