Once upon a time, There was this furry yellow Dog seen at Juying Secondary School.
The minute the owl saw this dog, it realised that it has fallen
in love with this dog... then ... the long and tedious stuggle begins in wooing this furry dog!
Next esp will be on 20/08/2010!

Our HK/Macau Trip Day 4+ 5: Macau

Day 4 Noontime, we left HK for Macau. Same thing, took ferry over, but this time e ride was kinda choppy n motion-sickness inducing :( we still made it anyways.
Hello Macau!!~
Hotel Royal Dragon- with own casino (most hotels over here have their own casinos, seems like intense competition as newer hotels/casinos are sprouting up everywhere in e small place)
Our floor: we got e executive/business rooms!!
View from room: Macau Fisherman's Wharf where we headed over after resting
snap snaps of room

Our 1st meal (snack b4 dinner) in Macau: Bitter Gourd with Pork belly
Wanton Noodles soup
Slice fish congee
Fisherman's Wharf: its sth like a theme-park built resemble famous landmarks over the world. Was kinda deserted when we visited, prob cos its a wkday.

Tang dynasty
Rome Colosseum
Mongolian Temple

Day 5: Halfday city tour of Macau

St Paul's Cathedral- zoe tay n li nanxing flimed here for The Ultimatum

Portugese-influenced streets
Next stop: Macau Sky Tower- home to the world's highest bungee jump

Lego-made tower outside toysrus.
We bought our transformers monopoly set here! cant wait to play!

Gg to take e lift up to e observation deck: 56 storeys high
1st glimpse of e whole city
tower-inspired ice cream sundaes
vintage coke?

OH the highlight: transparent glass panes that u can walk on, but gives u jelly-legs when u look down cos its so darn high up. u could really freeze n not move if there's a fear of heights.
we challenged ourselves anyways.

this is wat u see when u look down, doesnt look scary here. lol
lying down precariously? nah its all in e mind.
trying to compose myself
nice view!!

Headed a few floors higher where e daredevil stunts take place.

Skywalk option: walk around e tower ledge strapped to a safety harness

As the kids demonstrate. A grp of brave young visitors w staff :)

Salute these 2 girls, dangling their legs in high high midair!!!

Our guide suggested gg to Wynn Hotel for they have this special viewing of FA CAI SHU (good luck/prosperity tree).

ppl gathering ard waiting for it to start
when e show started, e globe thingy started "splitting" open
our 1st look @ the tree
fully-emerged tree under e different lightings

Now when its gg back in:
So futuristic leh.
like an alien invasion!
e hole is closing.
all shut till e next show time

Yum yum time for tea! Our friendly guide recommended this eatery famous for their pork chop buns. Its only freshly available at 3pm everyday, so even though it looks crowded, ppl were actually waiting for e tray of buns to come out from e oven b4 they rush to queue. but we had special treatment-out buns were reserved n delivered to our table, courtesy of e friendly lady.

Portugese Egg Tarts we bought earlier on.. fresh n crisp :)

We tried their fishball noodles-soup n dried
Slightly oily bun but tender pork chop, we tot was pretty average but since didnt have to queue, nth more to complain rite :)

From e eatery we set foot to walk to The Venetian Hotel- a must-visit in Macau. Beautiful place, super crowded with a huge-ass casino! lol i wanna play e slot machines (jackpot) there someday.
Hotel's West Wing- total of 4 wings, u can imagine how huge e place is.
shops in e hotel's shopping arcade. I like this window display, so creative using e brand's cleansing oil bottles :)
When u reach here, everything replicates wat we can find in Venice :) cheap thrills for everyone who has yet to visit the original place, but its really niceeeee can!

e ceilings are plastered with wallpaper to make it look as if we were looking at e clear blue sky!

Romantic!!
i wanna sit e real thing someday :D
Evening view of Macau- the sky tower in e backdrop :)
Day 6 tml, time to say goodbyeeeeeeeee

Our HK/Macau Trip Day 3-HK

Morning folks, Day 3 in HK, all bright n chirpy~ We had a Mac breakfast since it was conveniently located in our hotel's shopping arcade.
for edwin's viewing pleasure :)
HELLO KITTY sold in McDonald's!! u can buy as many with any purchase of a meal.. so it started n nv stopped cos we bought for ourselves! heh SO CUTE!

sticker pasted on e restaurant's tables!
Time to set off after breakfast!!
Finally managed to take a pic-Takeshi Kaneshiro for Armani. Suave.
Where we were headed for: Temple Street Night Market
stitchys sold @ 7-11!!
as e name says it :)
After walking through e lanes of stalls, stopped for dinner at this eatery along e streets selling all sorts of handmade noodles.

dad w his order
our drinks: ice yuan yang n lemon coke

Pork chop with 2 different soup bases: original
sichuan-flavor
Proceeded after dinner to e infamous Ladies Mkt! can see that its super duper crowded, partly cos its a sunday nite.

Its been a looong day~

Our HK/Macau Trip Day 2- HK

Leaving for breakfast!
a glimpse of our hotel. i realised did not take anymore pics. boo.

DimSum Breakfast to start off e day :) yummy but expensive.

Our hotel area: Canton Rd- similar to our Orchard as the whole belt is lined with luxury/branded good boutiques with some cheaper alternatives like cotton-on, not forgetting HK's very own SASA which i absolutely adore for its cheaper prices compared to back here.
SASA is like 7-11 stores, popping up at every corner. lol
can u spot mei zhen xiang. lol
Nearest MTR to hotel- Tsim Sha Tsui

walking towards the Tung Chung Line
mum & dad on e train!
Arrived @ Destination
A mall full of famous brands' outlet shops- which means discounted prices..yay! however, we didnt get anything much cos its still branded goods after all, cant really afford though its cheaper! maybe next time. hehe
Next to Citygate- Ngong Ping 360, one of HK's newer attractions :)
We wanted to take e cable car ride up to see e big buddha.. however e weather did nt permit. It was Cat1 Typhoon that day, even though e lowest signal was raised, the cable car rides were only one-way, which meant that we were stuck w a bus ride down e mountains if we chose to go ahead. decided not to in e end, kinda disappointed but didnt want to take e risk :(

On hindsight, it was wise that we didnt go ahead- it was raining cats n dogs and typhoon signal was raised to Cat3 when we left after shopping. Blessing in disguise.

where we dined for dinner- felt that e concept was similar to our crystal jade (still must take queue number)
silly mother acting cute. lol.
Canton Rd at nite

Back to hotel after dinner n shopping ard hotel area. Some pics of my loots for e day :)

Purin Jelly in cute purin container!! its a piggy-bank too btw.
Hello kitty candies from e supermarket.
fats got this for me while shopping w dad
Fav dessert/drink in HK- its crowded at anytime of the day. Tried e Honeydew Sago with mango juice.. yums!!
kitty noodles from 7-11

assorted PURIN from Sanrio's Giftgate
more shopping we want :D

Our HK/Macau Trip Day 1- Macau->HK

As usual, the laziness to blog after returning from a holiday always gets to me. SO after almost a wk back in SG, here are some photos. I realised something though, e pics taken on our trip were mostly of stuff/scenery since everyone (mum, dad, sis, gerald's mum) were busy shopping/walking. haha so hope its still as enjoyable to view even though most of e pics had us missing from them :)

on e plane b4 takeoff: we flew tigerairways to Macau

Upon reaching Macau, we took a cab to the Ferry Terminal which was barely 10mins away. From there, straightaway caught an hour-long ferryride to HK where we would be staying for the next 3 days @ The Royal Pacific Hotel.
As u can see, someone was tired on our journey there. haha i can be a spy.
